Terms of Service

By booking or using services from Madison County Tote Rentals ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before reserving.

1. Service Description

Madison County Tote Rentals provides a tote rental service only. We are not a moving company and do not provide moving labor, packing services, or transportation of your belongings. We deliver empty totes and pick them up once emptied. All packing, loading, transport, and unpacking is the sole responsibility of the customer.

2. Booking & Payment

• A reservation is not confirmed until we contact you to verify availability and you complete payment.
• Full payment is required before tote delivery.
• Payment is accepted via invoice link (Stripe). We do not accept cash on delivery.
• Pricing is as listed on our website and is subject to change. Your quoted price at time of booking will be honored.

3. Rental Period

• The standard rental period is 14 days (2 weeks) from the date of delivery.
• If you need more time, contact us before your pickup date. Extensions are available for an additional fee and subject to availability.
• Failure to return totes by the agreed pickup date may result in additional daily rental charges.

4. Delivery & Pickup

• We deliver and pick up within our standard service area in Madison County, IL at no extra charge.
• Deliveries outside the standard service area may incur a travel fee, which will be disclosed before booking.
• Customer must be available (or have an authorized adult present) at time of delivery and pickup unless other arrangements are made in advance.
• We are not responsible for totes left unattended at delivery location after drop-off.

5. Customer Responsibilities

• Totes must be returned empty and free of debris. A cleaning fee may apply to excessively dirty totes.
• Do not use totes for hazardous materials, wet items, food without sealed containers, or liquids.
• You are responsible for totes from the time of delivery until they are picked up by us.
• Keep totes in a safe, accessible location during the rental period.

6. Damages & Lost Totes

• Customer is responsible for any totes that are damaged, broken, or lost during the rental period.
• Replacement cost for each tote is $25 per tote and $35 per dolly, billed to the customer.
• Normal wear from proper use is not charged.

7. Cancellations & Refunds

• Cancellations made 72 hours or more before delivery will receive a full refund.
• Cancellations made 24–72 hours before delivery will receive a 50% refund or full credit toward a future booking.
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before delivery are non-refundable.
• Rescheduling is free with at least 48 hours notice, subject to availability.

8. Limitation of Liability

Madison County Tote Rentals is not liable for any damages to your belongings, property, or third-party property arising from the use of our totes. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for your rental. We are not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage arising from use of our equipment.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Madison County Tote Rentals, its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the totes or violation of these Terms.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in Madison County, Illinois.
